Bono Preaches the Gospel

Here is an excerpt from Bono: In Conversation. My mother sent me this, this morning. This is just such a great, simple and powerful synopsis of what is means to be a Christian. I was listening to their Vertigo Tour opening show in San Deigo and Bono is singing One (or trying to over the crowds off-key voices) and he sings the line, "Have you come here to play Jesus" and then adlibs with a chuckle, "'Cause I did." And with that one tiny line, he has nailed what we should all strive for. We strive to be good Christians and yada yada yada, when all we should do it come here and play Jesus. This is what makes Bono, Bono.
