Walk Worthy of the Calling

"In light of all this, here's what I want you to do. While I'm locked up here, a prisoner for the Master, I want you to get out there and walk - better yet, run! - on the road God called you to travel. I don't want any of you sitting around on your hands. I don't want anyone strolling off, down some path that goes nowhere. And mark that you do this with humility and discipline - not in fits and starts, but steadily, pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love..." (Eph 4:1,2 The Message)

This is a quick post, but this scripture moved me a little bit recently. In another translation, it says, "Walk worthy of the calling by which you were called." Both of these thoughts motivate me. The hardest time to be motivated is when you aren't necessarily doing anything. Those quiet, preparation times are difficult. Especially when your future seems a little foggy. But that is alright. God is in the fog. My job, if you want to call it that, is to simply - keep walking.

This is one of the reasons I blog. To keep pushing for answers and clarity. To keep stimulating my pursuit of God and His Kingdom and coincidently my place in that Kingdom. So I will keep blogging.

Heads up, look for a new blog coming from the college ministry at my church. If it comes, it will be cool. Peace out!
